"Vulnerability sounds like truth and feels like courage. Truth and courage aren’t always comfortable, but they're never weakness."

—  Brené Brown

I hold a Masters in Counselling Psychology. Throughout my education and training I had the opportunity to work with a vast variety of different people and found that I am most passionate about helping my clients with self-esteem, attachment concerns, relationship concerns – including work with couples, and trauma. I welcome members of the 2SLGBTQI+community and am passionate about creating an environment where all my clients feel safe, valued, and heard for exactly who they are; this includes people of all sexualities, genders, ethnicities, abilities, and faith backgrounds.

My work focuses primarily on adolescents, adults, and couples. I draw from a combination of perspectives including cognitive behavioural, emotion focused, and strengths based. Each of these has different strengths, and we will work together to find an approach that meets your needs and fits your goals. It is important to me that we don’t treat therapy approaches as a “one-size-fits- all”, because what brings each person or couple to therapy is completely different. I have completed my level one and two Gottman training, and this informs my work with couples. We will identify the strengths your relationship already has, and then work together to improve communication, compassion, and conflict.

My favourite parts of my life outside of work are peaceful mornings with a cup of coffee, kitty cuddles, and a good book - you can almost always find a book in my purse. When I was working from home, I often joked that my cat was my co-therapist. I also love to paint, do yoga, and bake – I’m not necessarily good at these, but they make me happy! Creating these little rituals that help me slow down and reconnect with myself makes me a happier person, and in turn a better therapist.
